Interested in Volunteering with FOLKS?
Our volunteers work to support Lime Kiln Point State Park and enhance the visitor’s experience. Sometimes, it’s more about man power than money!!
There’s perks too! Have fun meeting Park Rangers and fellow park volunteers at our Annual Volunteer Appreciation BBQ, earn a Discover Pass and join us on our Outer Island Adventure!!
Volunteer energies are required for ongoing park activities such as educational programs, special events and park maintenance… no experience necessary to volunteer, as we’ll provide all the tools necessary for a positive volunteering experience!
We have a variety of volunteer opportunities:
Interpretive Center/Gift Shop – FOLKS operates the Interpretive Center each season from May through September with the goals of providing assistance to visitors and generating funding for park projects.
Host sunset tours of our historic lighthouse – On those special occasions when the whales are taking an evening swim past the park, there is no place more magical.
Park Naturalist – Spend the afternoon at Whale Watch Point or exploring the park trails with visitors teaching about the splendors of our beautiful park. It’s a fun and rewarding way to share you love for this special place!
FOLKS Board of Directors – Apply your unique skills and talents to the growth of FOLKS! Are you a CPA or bookkeeper, an experienced fundraiser or grant writer? Great! We need you!!
.Remember, this is your park… Volunteer and make a difference!
