Interested in Volunteering with us?
FOLKS volunteers work to support our State Park and enhance the visitor’s experience. Lots of talent is needed … we provide the training!

Volunteer energies are required for ongoing park projects such as the spring clean-up, educational programs, park maintenance and events such as the Chelan 5th graders annual visit to our Park. Education and interpretation allow the natural and cultural wonders of this unique and special place to be shared with park visitors. There’s no experience necessary to volunteer, as we’ll provide all the training.
We have a variety of volunteer opportunities.
We need volunteers to work in the Interpretive Center/Gift Shop. FOLKS operates the gift shop and Interpretive Center each season from May through September with the goals of providing assistance to visitors and generating funding for park projects.
Become a Naturalist/ Park Docent. Spend the afternoon at Whale Watch Point and tell visitors about our black and white southern residents. Walk the trails and answer questions about our beautiful Madrone trees or historic lime kilns. It’s a fun and rewarding way to spend a day at the Park.
You could volunteer to host sunset tours of our historic lighthouse. On those special occasions when the whales are taking an evening swim past the park, there is no place more magical.
Donate your unique skills and talents. Are you a CPA or bookkeeper? An experienced fundraiser? A grant writer? We’d love to have your help. Just email us and ask where you can fit in.
